In Celebration of Grilled Cheese

April is National Grilled Cheese Month, as numerous food sites and blogs remind us. The origin of this designation is shrouded in mystery, but our entire research department is working to bring you the facts on this month long obsession with melted cheese on bread. Other highly significant and related dates are April 12, National Grilled Cheese Day, and April 20th, the Grilled Cheese Invitational.

Why do we observe these dates on our blog? Because The Nicer Slicer is an excellent tool for making all kinds of grilled cheese sandwiches. Thinly sliced bread grills faster and a slicered sandwich contains half the bread and half the butter of a regular grilled cheese. Besides, who doesn’t love some version of this food?
